Undip and Indivara Group Collaborate to Counteract Illegal Online Loans and Improve Community Welfare

Semarang – Universitas Diponegoro (Undip) and Indivara Group have formed a strategic partnership to address the growing issue of illegal online loans and high poverty rates in Central Java. The collaboration aims to provide innovative solutions for empowering the community, particularly micro-entrepreneurs.

During a discussion held on September 24, 2024, both parties agreed to focus on empowering traditional warungs (small shops). Through the “Bersama” platform developed by Indivara Group, warungs can not only increase their income from display and PPOB services but also gain easy access to various financial services, including productive business loans.

“We see great potential in empowering traditional warungs,” said Prof. Dr. Adian Fatchur Rochim, Vice Rector of Undip. By being part of ‘Bersama’, warungs can not only become service centers for the community but also improve the well-being of their owners.

Jusuf Sjariffudin, President and CEO of Indivara Group, enthusiastically welcomed the partnership. “Indivara Group is committed to contributing to improving community welfare through technology. The ‘Bersama’ platform is a tangible example of our commitment,” he said.

The presence of representatives from Bank Mandiri, BSI, and BNI in the discussion further strengthens the hope for a strong synergy. Collaboration between banks and the “Bersama” platform is expected to accelerate the disbursement of productive loans to micro-entrepreneurs, thereby driving economic growth at the local level.

With this collaboration, it is hoped that:

  • The number of illegal online loans will decrease: The “Bersama” platform offers a safer and more transparent alternative for people in need of financial access.
  • Warung income will increase: Display and PPOB services, as well as access to productive business loans, will increase warung income and competitiveness.
  • Micro-economic growth: Empowering warungs will have a positive impact on local economic growth and create new jobs.

By combining academic strength and industry expertise, we can create sustainable solutions for the social problems we face.
